Product Description:

Reuland’s Nuclear rated motors are designed and built around our customer’s nuclear requirements. They are widely used in the crane and hoist industry involved with the transportation of radioactive material as well as the removal of radioactive waste. Our nuclear motors can withstand a radiation exposure of 3.5×10^9 rads for the life of the unit. The design consists of a proprietary insulation system capable of handling a maximum lifetime dose of 3.5×10^9 rads. Some of the design features are cast iron frame and end bells, stainless steel shaft, metal tags, and no Teflon or silicone rubber.

Any of Reuland’s products including motors and brakes can be successfully adapted to meet the nuclear dosage requirements.
