This is one of the oldest designs of elastomeric flexible couplings. Rubber / Polyurethane ( PU ) bushes are used for dampening the shocks & vibrations. These bushes are mounted on Pin Side hub by means of coupling pins & nuts. These bushes go inside the holes on the Bush Side hub. Torque is transmitted through the pins to the bushes into the other hub. The design is failsafe, provides torsional flexibility, and compensates for all kinds of misalignments while protecting equipment against vibrations and shocks. Pin bush coupling provides minimum distance between the shaft ends. All over accurate machining provides inbuilt dynamic balancing. The coupling is easy to dismantle. It does not require moving of the driven / driving equipment for inspection / replacement of the elastomers.
