Product Description:

Reuland’s Surface Mount Permanent Magnet (SPM) motors are designed to produce high peak torques at low speeds and are thus a perfect choice for high speed applications requiring high torque at low speeds. These motors are designed to be operated with an inverter, a closed-loop control, and resolver feedback. The stator on these motors consists of a conventional 3-phase winding while the rotor is made up of a small core with high energy magnets mounted on the exterior of the core.

Reuland’s Surface Permanent Magnet motors are available in water-cooled enclosures and in power ranges of up to 500 HP.

  • Rotor M-19 or M-36 electrical steel laminations. Other lamination grades are available upon request. Encapsulated rotor design for ultra-high speeds.
  • Magnets High energy neodymium iron-boron
  • Control Method Flux vector

MECHANICAL FEATURES

  • Frame Reuland liquid cooled frames 140S thru 360L. Other custom frames and special constructions are available upon request.
  • Construction Heavy-duty steel frame and end bells. Consult factory for stainless steel construction and/or custom design.

  • Bearings High-Precision, ABEC-7, steel ball, ceramic ball or roller bearings to suit specific applications.
